Tuesday Morning Ramblings

Mari and Me Cleaning Around the Building

My will is set on starting the farm, and one way or the other, I will make it happen. ย However, the simple reality is that as an educator, I don’t make a lot of money, so my biggest hurdle is finding the capital for the initial startup. ย Recently, on Good Morning America, I saw a piece about a woman who needed to raise money for a photography business. ย She used a site called Indie GoGo to request donations to help her get started.

After researching the company and mulling it over and discussing it with Mari, I decided to do the same. ย Below is a link to our donations page. ย If you can afford to donate $5-20 and would like to see this endeavor succeed, please follow this link and donate whatever amount is comfortable for you. ย You have my guarantee that your donation will come to Mari and me and will be used to purchase materials for the farm and nothing else. ย If you can’t afford to donate anything at this point, you can still help. ย Please, share this link with your friends and family. ย Please, help me spread the word.

I don’t like asking people for money, especially friends, but in order to get this farm running, we’re gonna need materials to renovate the building and equipment to operate the hydroponic units. ย Any help you can offer will be much appreciated. ย Thank you for your support.

Sunday Night Ramblings

I had a blast this weekend. ย As always, the Choo Choo felt like home, and seeing all my good friends was wonderful. ย I don’t want to single out any one person for fear of leaving out someone, but you guys know who you are. ย I also made some new friends, and for that, I’m grateful. ย The picture above was taken on Saturday. ย Believe it or not, we three guys had on the exact same shirt!

That’s all for tonight. ย I’m exhausted and have my long day tomorrow.

Saturday Evening Ramblings

Day two of ConNooga has been pretty fun. ย I had a couple of good panels and got to meet a lot of people today. ย David Blalock, author of Swordbearer, stopped by to say hello, as did my buddy Joel Gates, who is a frequentย commenter here on the Ramblings. ย I also got to see many other people, so please forgive me if I didn’t mention you. ย Overall, I’m having a great time.

I love promoting the books and being around creative people. ย Next year, I hope to do many more shows.

The adventure you've been waiting for!
