To the families in Newtown, CT, you have my deepest, sincerest love and empathy.  As a father and an educator, I cannot fathom your loss. As a human being, I cannot understand how anyone could hurt a child.  Now is not the time for debate or pontificating.  Now is  the time for soft words and healing.  I know my words cannot dull your grief, but please know, you are in our hearts and minds.
