Sorry for such a late post, but this was a long, exhausting day. I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking for what I accomplished today.
The smokehouse when I started two years ago.The smokehouse this afternoon after many hours of labor over the last two years, including several today.About a 24″ trunk, roughly, cut with a 10″ electric chainsaw.Smokehouse before sunset after the tree was removed. Each of those big logs was at least 6′ long. The tree had been dead for several years, and the wood was half-petrified/half-rotten, so I felt like burning was the best disposal.
I’m tired, sore, and beat to hell, but it’s a good feeling of accomplishment. Now, time to start chapter three of book four. Later all.
