Sports, relationships, parenting, literature, education, and more. If it catches my interest that day, I’ll write about it.

Monday Evening Ramblings

I’m almost finished with grading, just one more section to go.  Despite a wicked sinus infection and a pounding headache, I got a lot done today.  Thank goodness the college recognized the chaos created by the weather situation and extended our grade window to Wednesday morning at 9:00. I couldn’t have gotten done by today.

I’ll write a real post soon, as soon as I’m through this mountain of grading and over this sinus crap.  Something very cool happened on Saturday that I want to share, a major step forward for me.  For now, I’m gonna go curl in a ball and sob uncontrollably from this headache (Not really, but when I even notice a headache, it’s bad).  Hope you have a wonderful night.

Sunday Afternoon Ramblings

I really want to write a blog today, but my brain feels like melted Jello, so there aren’t many ideas bubbling up in the cauldron.  The only time I can ever remember being this exhausted was right after the birth of my first son, and I’m quite certain I could curl up in bed and sleep for a week.  Hopefully, once I get all of this grading finished, I’ll be able to write better entries again.  Right now, however, I simply have very little to offer, so please accept my apologies.

Friday Morning Ramblings

In racing terms, I’m rounding out of turn four and can see the finish line.  The good news is that the bad weather allowed me to rest a little and kind of shake this cold, although I don’t feel 100%.  The bad news is that the weather has pushed everything to today, so I haven’t gotten to get a jump start  on the grading before the weekend.  With grades due Monday, that means quite a bit of work this weekend and Monday morning.  However, once grades are turned in, I’m taking a break and relaxing a little.  I’m exhausted from this grind and need o recharge my batteries a little before the spring semester starts.

I get the boys the 29th-4th, so that will help reinvigorate me.  Last night, Collin gave me a list of all the things he wants for his birthday, which is in February.  He hasn’t even gotten through Christmas but is already planning for his birthday.  He’s a funny kid.  That’s all for today.  Now, back to the chaos the weather has created this week.
